Which area do you specialise in?

I specialise in mid to senior level appointments across all disciplines within the Market Access / HEOR field. I manage roles both on the permanent and interim basis. 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

First and foremost, we are kept up to date by speaking day in, day out to candidates and clients alike - information from an internal perspective is highly valuable to us in terms of gauging how best to approach resourcing. Reading industry press and engaging in online discussions certainly keeps us on top of wider topics. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I have many favourite films: Home Alone at Christmas time, any James Bond films (especially Skyfall) for a bit of action but, ultimately, I LOVE How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Maybe not the best film ever but one that reminds me of really good times with all my best friends. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I have yet to find anything that keeps my young daughter still and engaged for over 5 minutes, so my invention would be a remote control-style device that allows me to pause her in time - allowing me to make and enjoyably drink a full cup of tea with no distractions!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

One of my little fingers is 7mm shorter than the other!

This specialist Market Access Consultancy is independently owned and can boast a dedicated and knowledgeable team in the UK Market Access field. As specialists in their field, this Consultancy concurrently manage traditional projects whilst using innovation and a forward-thinking approach to realise new possibilities in the field. This Business Development Lead is a critical new role that will push them forward to the next level of growth.


The Role

In post as Business Development Lead your primary responsibility will be to create and effectively deliver a robust Business Development plan for the company's next phase of growth. This will include:

  • Identifying new business opportunities in the current market space where existing offerings can be capitalised upon and new revenue streams could be an opportunity

  • Delivering against a financial objective agreed with business seniors

  • Maintaining and developing existing relationships where previous projects have been delivered against

  • Working with the internal staff base to ensure a collaborative approach to developing client relationships and business opportunity is consistently approached.



In order to make a successful application to this Business Development Lead position, you will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Experience in the Healthcare Consulting domain - favourably within Strategic or Commercial Market Access

  • A robust understanding of the NHS landscape

  • Demonstrated experience developing new business and successfully working to capitalise on a book of existing business

  • Experience in understanding business need and converting that into a robust strategic plan

  • Financial success in business generation.
