The Company

My client is an ever growing and developing full-service consultancy offering services across Pricing & Reimbursement, Market Access, Value Communications, Real World Evidence and HEOR / Health Outcomes. They also offer a whole range of services across PR, Advertising, Digital Communications and Medical Communication so a lot of in-house expertise on hand.


The Role

Backed by very strong Board of Investors and with very ambitious growth plans into 2020 and beyond, this every expanding company is looking to add Patient Centered Outcomes (PCO) Consultants to it's growing Health Outcomes Teams.

Whilst my client isn't a 'blue chip' company they are approaching 700 employees globally so can offer a very strong career path whilst still offering a very good work / life balance, exciting and varied projects to work on, a relaxed and smart causal working environment with a really friendly and helpful team to integrate into.

With their capabilities covering a range of services including Patient Centered Outcomes, Market Access, Value Communications, PR, Advertising , HEOR/ Health Outcomes & Real World Evidence (amongst others) you can be sure to get a wide range of projects and the opportunity to move around the company in the future should you so wish! You It's important that you are already working in Patient Centered Outcomes / Patient Reported Outcomes / Clinical Outcomes Assessments and that you have the below skills.

  • Extensive Patient Centered Outcomes (PCO/ COA) Studies experience with Academia / Commercial Sectors.
  • Patient Centered Outcomes (PCO / COA) experience within a wider Health Outcomes field.
  • Experience working on Quantitative/ Qualitative Patient Centered Outcomes studies (PCO/ COA)
  • Familiarity with Literature Reviews, Gap Analyses, Instrument Selection and PCO / COA Validation tools.
  • MSc / PhD in Health Outcomes, Psychology, Statistics, Psychometrics or related Subject.

I work in the Market Access and Health Economics Team at Carrot providing services across a range of companies with Market Access and Health Economics Capabilities. There is an ever-growing list of skills within these sectors covering Real World Evidence, Health Outcomes and Patient Centered Outcomes amongst others.

What are some of the typical roles you cover?

The typical roles that I tend to cover are Market Access Consultant, Senior Market Access Consultant, Market Access Manager / Director, Health Economist, Senior Health Economist, Health Economics Manager, Health Economics Director alongside roles such as HEOR Consultant & Manager, Real World Evidence Consultant & Patient Centered Outcomes Consultant.

What are the hot issues in your sector currently?

Without doubt the amount of and potential use of Real-World Data & Real-World Evidence is leading to a lot of companies investing heavily in the hope of utilising this data. This is leading to huge advancements in Healthcare Technology in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms which will dramatically alter Healthcare over the coming years.

This is alongside Pharma companies working with various country specific regulators to combat an ever-ageing population, increased demands on national budgets and the need for increased collaboration across local and regional levels.
