Patient Engagement Manager (Healthcare Communications) - Pharmaceutical Company - South-East England - c£60K + Car Allowance & Bonus

A digitally-focused / strategic role to enhance patient engagement and brand awareness across social media, online and digital channels for a market-leading pharmaceutical organisation.

The Role

At the Patient Engagement Manager you will be the voice of the company across their online, social media and digital channels. You will work on a variety of media relations projects to boost brand awareness, disease awareness and patient engagement using your specialist digital communications knowledge:

  • Acting as the voice of the company across online, social media and digital channels
  • Produce engaging content within guidelines and branding to increase brand awareness, disease awareness and patient engagement
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, patients, medical professionals and representatives from the media as needed
  • Working flexibly on internal and external communications projects as required
  • Assisting with and providing crisis management if required and working with the wider communications team globally

 

You

To be successful for this Patient Engagement Manager position you should have a solid level of healthcare communications experience with an emphasis on digital communications, social media and media relations:

  • Strong healthcare communications experience from an agency or in-house setting
  • Digital communications knowledge at both a strategic and analytical level
  • Strong content-writing experience
  • Must have life sciences/healthcare/pharma experience
  • Internal / Employee Communications or PR experience
  • Experience using MLR and regulatory approval systems
  • Proven track record providing communications strategy and plans for large change programmes.
  • Awareness and understanding of ABPI and EFPIA codes
