A fantastic opportunity to work for a leading market research agency based in Manchester city centre as a Research Manager.

A very innovative and forward-thinking market research agency who are currently looking for a new researcher to join their team. My client is based in a fantastic building in the centre of Manchester. The environment is that of a company that works collaboratively. The Role

This Research Manager role is working on one of my clients' key accounts in their travel research team. It will be responsible for managing a project from proposal to project debrief. You will be tasked with story telling and bringing data to life. My client is an industry leader in quantitative research techniques.

  • This role will be working with one of my client's keys accounts. Because of this there will be travel involved to be on-site with them for a couple of days a month. If anything, this is of benefit to you as you can really understand them and get the know their processes and ways of working.

  • You will be integral in using unique methodologies including online communities, mobile surveys and ethnography to provide insight to questions your clients urgently need answering.

 

You

Being motivated, passionate and driven are all qualities that really are needed in this role. the company is fantastic, and their clients are brilliant, but you will need to be a real self-starter as there is always lots of projects on the go and this doesn't really seem to stop.

  • Ideally have experience of working on market research projects within the Travel sector.

  • A specialist in quantitative research methodologies, design and analysis is key.

  • A researcher who has experience of being client facing, building relationships internally and a desire to enable and steer the development of key accounts.

  • Experience of online communities (ideally international) would be a massive bonus, but this could also be taught if required.

  • Experience of working on international projects would also be good.

I try and keep on top of industry specific news via LinkedIn, newsletters and media in general. I believe you can also gather most of the information that you need from conversations with candidates and clients. 

What is your favourite film and why?

Anchorman - it is one of those films where the more you watch it the funnier it gets. If not then pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in it - he doesn't do bad films!

If you could invent one this what would it be?

A time machine without a doubt! I absolutely hate both myself and other people being late so this would just solve all my issues.

What makes you distinctly different?

I have completed Tough Mudder twice, as well as other endurance events. I feel it is necessary to push yourself both mentally and physically, otherwise you never know what you can do. It hurts all the way around but you cannot beat that feeling the at the finish line!
