Senior Associate / Manager (Surveys)

Up to £45k + performance related bonus | London |  Market Research & Business Intelligence, Fieldwork |  Permanent  | Ref:888714

The Role

Fantastic opportunity to complete market research in an environment and for a company that isn't like many others. This role gives you the opportunity to work on interesting projects with truly innovative clients.

The Company

The client this role is with is unique and what they can offer you in generally something that isn't going to be easy to find elsewhere. Essentially as a company they have 650,000 international members signed up to engage with business leaders, investors, consultants and more types of people to offer insight and expertise to allow them to make better business decisions.

  • The company as a whole does not do market research, in a way you act as a separate company with the other sides of the business (sales & business development, client management) working almost as an internal client for you.

  • A guarantee is that you will have the opportunity to work with and be at the forefront of some crucial decision making in the world of finance and private equity.

  • Global offices including Austin, Dublin, New York, Munich, Tokyo, Sydney and many more. If you dream is to move to the states, then in the future that could become a reality, provided you can demonstrate how valuable you are to the company's future operations.

The Role

This role is a key position for my client you will be speaking with clients on a daily basis and helping them to make better business decisions. You will do this by explaining to them how surveys can answer insightful questions that they need answering. They will see you as an expert and a go to, so you need to be able to learn quickly and manage multiple projects at one time.

  • Design and facilitate customised surveys targeting specialised topics and populations.

  • Compile reports of survey data for clients.

  • Establish and build strong working relationships with colleagues, partners and clients.

There is no right answer to what skillset is right for a role such as this and a lot of it comes from personality. It would be a great opportunity for a Project Manager, Panel Manager or maybe someone with hybrid research and fieldwork experience. Whatever your previous role you need to be seriously engaged with market research and have a real passion for what you do. This role would be ideal for someone with some real entrepreneurial flair.

  • You must have hands on quantitative research experience

  • Experience of survey design

  • Knowledge of programming would be good but isn't essential

Josh Hadfield

Which team do you work in?

I work in the Market Research and Business Intelligence team

Which area do you specialise in?

Junior level Market Research and Fieldwork

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I try and keep on top of industry specific news via LinkedIn, newsletters and media in general. I believe you can also gather most of the information that you need from conversations with candidates and clients.

What is your favourite film and why?

Anchorman - it is one of those films where the more you watch it the funnier it gets. If not then pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in it - he doesn't do bad films!

If you could invent one this what would it be?

A time machine without a doubt! I absolutely hate both myself and other people being late so this would just solve all my issues.

What makes you distinctly different?

I have completed Tough Mudder twice, as well as other endurance events. I feel it is necessary to push yourself both mentally and physically, otherwise you never know what you can do. It hurts all the way around but you cannot beat that feeling the at the finish line!
