The Role

Business Development Manager, £30k - £50k depending on experience plus commission and benefits, Luton (field based with occasional days in the office)

Due to expansion, this established consultancy requires a Business Development Manager to play a key role in their ongoing success and growth

 

The Company

  • Servicing the pharmaceutical, healthcare and Medical Device sectors.

  • Opportunity to work alongside industry professionals who are experts in their field

  • Working with pharmaceutical companies across the UK and Europe

  • Specialising in Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance and Batch Release services

  • Outskirts of the city location with onsite parking

  • Close knit team within a privately-owned company

 

The Role

As a brand new role, you will take control of business development for the company and be responsible for:

  • Industry research and developing client target lists

  • Booking and attending face to face meetings, including presenting where required

  • Negotiating pricing structures and closing deals

  • Keeping close relationships with clients and identifying opportunities for new business

  • You will be out in the field, meeting existing and potential clients in person, therefore you don't need to be based in Luton

 

You

We are looking for a successful Business Development Manager with experience in the below areas:

  • A minimum of four years in a BDM role

  • Successful sales track record meeting targets and KPIs

  • Very recent pharmaceutical, healthcare or medical device industry experience is essential

  • Selling face to face and presenting at senior level

  • Knowledge of Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance processes

  • Ideally candidate will have worked for a similar consultancy or CRO

  • Only candidates with pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry experience can be considered.
