How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Through constant communication with candidates and clients within the industry. I like to meet with my clients and candidates as often as possible and to get out to as many networking events as I can. I also like to keep track of what is happening in the industry via LinkedIn, PMLive and other pharma news sites. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Gladiator - it's a timeless film with a great cast and fantastic story. They don't make them like that anymore.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd love to have a teleport. I love to travel but some places are so far away! I'd love to press a button and be able to spend the weekend on the beach in Fiji.

I can read and write in Korean! After teaching English over there I have learnt to really understand people and have seen how rewarding it is to help people whatever their circumstances. In my job I really listen to both my clients and candidates needs and try to match them as best as possible.

The Role

  • Due to continued growth, my client is looking for an experienced Account Director who can help drive the business to greater success.

  • Operating at a high level with senior global clients, the account director will be instrumental in helping the division grow further.

  • Working with large pharmaceutical candidates on a variety of therapy areas including cancer immunotherapy, haemophilia and pain.

  • Take a leading role in leading pitches for a team with an impressive record of new business wins.

  • Build on and develop existing client relationships at the most senior level.

  • Manage significant financial budgets and help coordinate projects with creative and tech teams.

  • Help with the continued development of junior members of the account handling teams.



As an Account Director, you will have a wealth of healthcare communications experience and the ability to inspire clients and in-house agency teams.

  • You will have worked in a similar role and have a track record of success in healthcare communications.

  • You will have exposure to pharmaceutical sales, product management or strong marketing experience.

  • You will have a solid understanding and real passion for pharmaceutical and health related communications.

  • Strong people management skills including influencing and nurturing skills.

  • Proven successful new business pitch abilities and experience of handling large financial budgets.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
