How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Through constant communication with candidates and clients within the industry. I like to meet with my clients and candidates as often as possible and to get out to as many networking events as I can. I also like to keep track of what is happening in the industry via LinkedIn, PMLive and other pharma news sites. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Gladiator - it's a timeless film with a great cast and fantastic story. They don't make them like that anymore.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd love to have a teleport. I love to travel but some places are so far away! I'd love to press a button and be able to spend the weekend on the beach in Fiji.

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I can read and write in Korean! After teaching English over there I have learnt to really understand people and have seen how rewarding it is to help people whatever their circumstances. In my job I really listen to both my clients and candidates needs and try to match them as best as possible.

The Role

Due to internal growth and new business wins, this healthcare agency is now looking to add an Account Director to their growing team. The role is varied and will include:

  • Supporting the Managing Director in the development of creative briefs and ensuring that reasonable client expectations of deliverables and timeframes are set and managed through the entire process.

  • Working alongside project managers to reconcile costs/time at the end of each month or project and prepare invoices accordingly to ensure that profitability is maintained on each project.

  • Understanding that the agency's staff are their greatest asset and therefore nurturing and supporting more junior members of the client services and project management teams in order to aid their professional development.

  • Not only having a leading role in developing business with existing clients, but also recognising new business opportunities and driving efforts to successfully convert these opportunities too.

 

You

  • You'll have previous experience within healthcare communications either agency or client side.

  • Strong account handling skills are a must as is the desire to help develop the healthcare offering further.

  • Experience of working on promotional accounts would be highly beneficial.

  • You will have an ability to make intelligent and informed decisions on behalf of the business, whilst knowing when to escalate issues or decisions to the Managing Director.

  • You will have excellent written and verbal communications skills and be experienced and confident in presenting and conducting training sessions.

  • You will have Account Director experience from a multichannel Healthcare Communications agency, with good knowledge of digital campaigns, and an interest in digital.

  • You will be enthusiastic about the fact that as an Account Director at this agency you will have a real responsibility in helping them to meet their lofty ambitions and further cement their reputation as a trusted name in this industry.
