Medical Communications and Medical Education 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?
Communicating with candidates on a regular basis, over the phone, email and through LinkedIn. Also meeting candidates over a coffee is a great way to learn more. I try to get to as many networking events as possible; meeting with clients on a regular basis to find out what they're doing really helps too. 

What's your favourite film and why?
My favourite film would have to be...'Once Upon a Time in the West'. A classic Western film that offers everything.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
I'd invent a time-machine, or maybe something easier to use like 'Bernard's Watch'. It would be ideal to be able to stop time every now and again to catch up on some sleep or spend some extra time finding that perfect candidate!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent? 
I'd like to think that I really get to understand what people are looking for in their next role and deliver to that. This, coupled with keeping regular contact with clients to see what their situation is, allows me to match the right candidate to the right company, as each Medical Communications Agency offers something slightly different. This may sound like ordinary recruitment to some, but you have to act differently and go the extra mile in this sector to make it work for everybody involved!

Patient Communications Account Director - Healthcare Communications - Berkshire - Up to £65K Depending on experience

The Role

  • Overall responsibility and accountability for the direction and delivery of patient support accounts

  • Provide strategic support and council to clients, building strong relationships

  • Manage and mentor junior members of the team

  • Participate in proposal development and sales and proposal presentations where needed

  • Collaboratively work with executive members of global management team to deliver companies strategic plan

  • Able to demonstrate leadership and influencing skills

  • Strong knowledge in aspects of Pharmaceutical Communications/Marketing

  • Ability to work and think creatively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong financial acumen

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
