How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Through constant communication with candidates and clients within the industry. I like to meet with my clients and candidates as often as possible and to get out to as many networking events as I can. I also like to keep track of what is happening in the industry via LinkedIn, PMLive and other pharma news sites. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Gladiator - it's a timeless film with a great cast and fantastic story. They don't make them like that anymore.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd love to have a teleport. I love to travel but some places are so far away! I'd love to press a button and be able to spend the weekend on the beach in Fiji.

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I can read and write in Korean! After teaching English over there I have learnt to really understand people and have seen how rewarding it is to help people whatever their circumstances. In my job I really listen to both my clients and candidates needs and try to match them as best as possible.

Copywriter - Independent Global Healthcare Advertising Agency - Berkshire - £45k-£50k


The Company

I am currently working alongside a large, established Healthcare Communications agency with a strong digital focus who are looking for a Copywriter to join their team. The agency's creative and innovative campaigns have won multiple awards and their portfolio boasts multiple blue-chip clients. Employees love working there and tend to stay for a long time.

The Role

As a Copywriter, you would be working alongside the art director, liaising with client briefs to develop and produce effective advertising campaigns. You will be expected to handle several client accounts at the same time, making the job varied and interesting. As well as:

  • Taking at times complex concepts and data and simplifying it in order to make it accessible to a range of audiences.

  • Producing innovative and creative copy which meets and ideally surpasses client expectation.

  • Ensuring all copy adheres to ABPI and other relevant codes of practice.

  • Celebrating the agency's successes by attending industry award ceremonies.



As well as having a real passion for digital marketing, being a real team player and possessing a confident dynamic personality will make you a great fit in this agency. Along with this:

  • You will preferably hold a life science undergraduate degree.

  • You will have at least three years' experience as a medical writer/ copywriter.

  • You will have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

  • You will have a flexible attitude and be open to expanding your knowledge on new concepts and therapy areas.
