The Role

Medical Lead - 2 Vacancies - Oncology - Rare Diseases & Neurology - Slough - Upto £120k plus excellent benefits

 

The Company

This pharmaceutical company has been on a 5year journey to re-focus their strategic direction and revolutionise their pipeline. In order to do this, they are now looking to expand the medical team by creating two additional roles of Medical Lead to sit under the Medical Director.

This company have the benefit of having 1 of 3 global hubs in the UK so whilst sitting in the UK affiliate team you will have access to the Global team as well. The offices have been given significant investment in order to renovate and build a larger, modern and open plan working environment. A really great place to work!

 

The Role

Supporting the Medical Director, you will lead therapeutic area team to develop and execute the medical and scientific strategy for both the current future pipeline products and indications

  • Guide the development of integrated data generation plans by their relevant therapeutic area team and the implementation thereof medical assessment and approval of clinical study protocols on a local level
  • Represent the company as a key clinical expert in front of leading medical experts, professional associations and institutions in their therapeutic area
  • Work with the GMA medical teams to shape and influence strategies
  • Approval of clinical study protocols on a UK study level
  • Establishing and continuously managing a professionally acting, compliant and effectively collaborating team. Recognise employee potential and goal driven, bespoke development

You

A successful leader within Medical Affairs. You will be looking for an opportunity where you can make the role your own, provide true support and advice to the Medical Director and wish to work somewhere with the potential to progress in the future

  • Leadership expertise is a must - ideally demonstrate having managed field based and office based staff
  • Therapy area experience is ideal particularly with Oncology position
  • Final signatory is ideal but not essential
  • You must have confidence to be able to drive change within the business
  • GMC/Pharmacy or Scientific degree all welcome to apply
