The Role

Scientific Services Director to lead projects from a scientific, editorial and strategic perspective

  • Provide strategic counsel to pharmaceutical clients, confidently leading discussions in client meetings and teleconferences
  • Engage external experts in high-level scientific and medical discussions
  • Provide strategic direction to the team based on a thorough understanding of clients' needs and objectives, and the commercial needs of the business.
  • Recruitment, training and development of the scientific services team
  • Supporting new business initiatives including pitches and presentations

 

You

A seasoned medical communication professional who has earned their stripes progressing through the ranks within editorial teams

  • Strong scientific background, maybe a MSc or PhD
  • Many years' medical writing experience and able to review and edit the work of others
  • Leadership and direction of high performing teams
  • Full understanding of industry regulations and guidelines underpinning medical communication activities.
