Which team do you work in? 

Medical device/healthcare sales and marketing.

Which area do you specialise in? 

All field based sales roles from Territory Manager to Head of Sales/Sales Director level, plus Head Office based marketing positions.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?  

The medical device sector is continually evolving as new technologies and break-through products are brought to market, and this makes it vital to stay completely up to date with the latest goings on.  LinkedIn Groups are a great way to find out what’s happening in the medical device world.  I’m also a great believer in simply having as many conversations as possible with candidates and clients – always a good way to keep a finger on the pulse.

What’s your favourite film and why?  

I’ve seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels so many times I feel I know the script!  And what a script it is...

If you could invent one thing, what would it be?  

Some sort of device or implant that meant that your children were totally compliant in the morning, and therefore got off to school without the usual daily drama of one kind or another!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?  

I once bought a live chicken at an auction (I thought I was buying a CD player!) and had to walk it back to the train station on a lead.  And sit with it on the train!  At work, I like to think that I take a real and genuine interest in how my candidates are feeling during the recruitment process, which can be a fairly stressful time, and help them every step of the way.

The Role

As a Territory Manager (Diabetes) you will be dedicated to improving patient outcomes and liaising very closely with Diabetes Consultants and Specialist Nurses, providing solutions to patient care issues. The aim of the role is to promote and grow the sales of the company's products by establishing a "partnership" relationship with your customer base.

  • Selling and training in the use of insulin pumps, and by doing so increasing company market share on territory.

  • Planning and executing a clear territory sales strategy, resulting in strong sales growth.

  • Working closely with other team members, sharing leads and relevant business information to ensure success of the team.

 

You

  • Previous experience of working within the diabetes management area would be a huge advantage but is not essential.

  • At interview you will need to demonstrate that you have excellent, well honed relationship building skills which are essential for this role.

  • Will be passionate about doing the very best job you can for your customers and patients.
