Healthcare Communications

Which area do you specialise in?

Medical Communications & Medical Education - roles include Medical Writers, Account Managers, Project Coordinators and Editoral Assistants. 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Attending events and meeting candidates and clients is a fantastic way of engaging with my sector and really getting to know people, companies and their motivations. This, alongside keeping up-to-date with MedComms Networking and PMLive articles. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I'm not the biggest of movie buffs but one of my favourites is Lars Von Trier's 'Dancer in the Dark'. It stars Bjork and I'm quite a big Bjork fan!

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I would invent a mode of transport which is, essentially, a large rollercoaster. It would make my commute to work that bit more enjoyable.

I try not to make assumptions on people and get to know everyone on an individual basis.

Editorial Assistant - Healthcare Communications Agency - Buckinghamshire - Up to £30k DOE

 

The Company

After continued growth throughout 2018 this independent Healthcare Communications agency are looking to expand the team with new hires.

  • Independent agency, able to implement changes with ease

  • Listen to their staff - ask employees to be actively involved in the strategy behind the agency

  • Key projects include; Integrated digital channel programmes, Stand-alone meetings, Satellite meetings, Key opinion leader and advocacy management, Advisory boards and consensus meetings

  • Buckinghamshire offices commutable from London

 

The Role

As the Editorial Assistant, your role responsibilities include…

  • Editing and proofing content of Medical Education materials such as slide decks, patient and HCP materials, digital media (websites, webinars) meeting materials (agendas, invitations, delegate booklets)

  • Advisory board reports and publications

  • Preparing Medical Education materials for Client compliance processes. Checking that materials are fully and accurately referenced, marking up reference materials, uploading content and references onto Zinc and managing comments within the Zinc approval process

  • Responsible for accurate and timely delivery of materials in accordance with agency, Client and industry standards

 

You

  • BSc or above in life-sciences and passion for Healthcare Communications

  • Work experience with Healthcare or Pharmaceutical industry

  • Strong capability for editing and proofing medical education materials

  • Meticulous and inquisitive work ethic
