How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?
Communicating with candidates on a regular basis, over the phone, email and through LinkedIn. Also meeting candidates over a coffee is a great way to learn more. I try to get to as many networking events as possible; meeting with clients on a regular basis to find out what they're doing really helps too. 

What's your favourite film and why?
My favourite film would have to be...'Once Upon a Time in the West'. A classic Western film that offers everything.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
I'd invent a time-machine, or maybe something easier to use like 'Bernard's Watch'. It would be ideal to be able to stop time every now and again to catch up on some sleep or spend some extra time finding that perfect candidate!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent? 
I'd like to think that I really get to understand what people are looking for in their next role and deliver to that. This, coupled with keeping regular contact with clients to see what their situation is, allows me to match the right candidate to the right company, as each Medical Communications Agency offers something slightly different. This may sound like ordinary recruitment to some, but you have to act differently and go the extra mile in this sector to make it work for everybody involved!

This Account Director (medical communiactions) job is within an agency we've worked closely with over the last several years are taking on a new and exciting proposition within healthcare. Due to growth, the agency has created a sister agency within the group to deliver in new areas as well as strong medical education projects. They've created partnerships with patient and professional associations allowing them to work on long term strategic goals, with flexibility and creativity. The Role

  • Being the key point of contact for clients, building relationships

  • Managing the delivery of key projects to a superb standard

  • KOL liaison for specific projects

  • Making sure projects are delivered on time and within budget

  • Identifying additional client targets, helping the agency grow

 

You

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Proven track-record of account/project management ideally within healthcare

  • Ability to negotiate and be clear with clients

  • Able to manage and motivate junior members of the team
