The Role

Editorial Assistant - Medical Communications Agency - Buckinghamshire - Up to £28k

Fantastic opportunity for a life science graduate with a keen interest in medical communications, and ideally some experience within scientific editing, to come and join an independent, passionate medical education agency.

This role will involve working alongside the programme and editorial team, providing editorial support across a range of deliverables.

This role is a great opportunity for candidates who wish to go on to be medical writers to get their foot in the door of an innovative med comms agency.

Meetings work is a large part of the deliverables produced by this agency, these include advisory boards, satellite meetings, standalone meetings and integrated digital channel programmes.

The Role

This Editorial Assistant role will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Providing editorial and compliance support:
    • Ensures accurate editing of materials through the editing/QC process
    • Is proficient at PowerPoint to edit slides including formatting text, figures, graphs and animations
    • Critiques documents to improve format, use of English, grammar and style
    • Proficient in implementing compliance requirements for all clients
    • Creates job bags and project manages the compliance process
  • Working alongside the programme teams:
    • Ensures adherence to project spec and budget
    • Creates content updates/brand digests for discrete projects

 

You

What's your favourite film and why?

I love films, so there's far too many to choose from! If I had to pick one it would probably be the Harry Potter series. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd invent a machine that made me a coffee as soon as I woke up - that would make getting out of bed much easier!
