Account Director

Up to £55K DOE | South East, Kent |  Client Services |  Permanent  | Ref:884892

Phillip Hall

Which team do you work in?
Healthcare Communications.

Which area do you specialise in?
Medical Communications and Medical Education

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?
Communicating with candidates on a regular basis, over the phone, email and through LinkedIn. Also meeting candidates over a coffee is a great way to learn more. I try to get to as many networking events as possible; meeting with clients on a regular basis to find out what they're doing really helps too.

What's your favourite film and why?
My favourite film would have to be...'Once Upon a Time in the West'. A classic Western film that offers everything.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
I'd invent a time-machine, or maybe something easier to use like 'Bernard's Watch'. It would be ideal to be able to stop time every now and again to catch up on some sleep or spend some extra time finding that perfect candidate!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?
I'd like to think that I really get to understand what people are looking for in their next role and deliver to that. This, coupled with keeping regular contact with clients to see what their situation is, allows me to match the right candidate to the right company, as each Medical Communications Agency offers something slightly different. This may sound like ordinary recruitment to some, but you have to act differently and go the extra mile in this sector to make it work for everybody involved!

The Role

Account Director - Medical Communications Agency - Kent - Up to £55K DOE

The Company

  • Friendly adult environment, lots of autonomy for all employees

  • Opportunities for career progression as the agency looks to grow

  • Big believers in work/life balance, open to discussion around flexibility

  • Work across a number of therapy areas including Neurology and Psychiatry

  • Offices in a lovely part of the county, easily commutable via train and car

The Role

  • Working across deliverables such as congress, adboards, publications and digital media

  • Taking full overall accountability for own projects - maintaining excellent client relations

  • Tracking project progression against agreed budgets and timelines

  • Develop organic growth within existing clients

  • Manage and motivate junior members of staff

  • Able to demonstrate leadership skills and ability to develop team members

  • A track record of managing successful projects, ideally within Pharma/Healthcare

  • Good strategic thinking abilities, able to offer solutions to clients

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to present and where required prepare content for use

What should you do next?

This agency is moving quickly to find the right people and they're offering a superb opportunity to somebody looking to take that next step. If you're looking for something a little different, a new challenge perhaps this could be what you've been looking for!

Unless otherwise stated, if applying for a job within the European Union, you must ensure that you are already authorised to work there. Carrot Pharma Recruitment Ltd acts as an Employment Business and an Employment Agency on behalf of our client in recruitment for this role.
