Which area do you specialise in?

I specialise in mid to senior level appointments across all disciplines within the Market Access / HEOR field. I manage roles both on the permanent and interim basis. 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

First and foremost, we are kept up to date by speaking day in, day out to candidates and clients alike - information from an internal perspective is highly valuable to us in terms of gauging how best to approach resourcing. Reading industry press and engaging in online discussions certainly keeps us on top of wider topics. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I have many favourite films: Home Alone at Christmas time, any James Bond films (especially Skyfall) for a bit of action but, ultimately, I LOVE How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Maybe not the best film ever but one that reminds me of really good times with all my best friends. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I have yet to find anything that keeps my young daughter still and engaged for over 5 minutes, so my invention would be a remote control-style device that allows me to pause her in time - allowing me to make and enjoyably drink a full cup of tea with no distractions!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

One of my little fingers is 7mm shorter than the other!


The Role

Market Access Lead - Rare Diseases, Pharma Company, Cambs, £60k to £80k DOE + package.

A great opportunity to undertake a niche role in a wonderful Pharma business.


The Company

This Pharma company is a specialist in Rare Diseases, so as part of the wider team you will be supported by experts in their field who all share a common goal: to work towards patients' needs. In post as Market Access Lead you will be part of a smaller division becoming an integral part of this company's UK Access success.


The Role

In role as Market Access Lead, you will undertake a range of duties, which will include frequent travel into London. You can expect to:

  • Work with the local level KAM team and UK commissioners to ensure the effective securing of patient access and maximum reimbursement for allocated assets

  • Prepare HTA submission for assets that will be presented to UK bodies (NICE, SMC, AWMSG and HSE Ireland)

  • Work with internal colleagues to identify appropriate pricing strategy and initiating all steps required to execute strategy (inc. negotiating with relevant authorities as required)

  • Act as a source of expertise on the NHS and private healthcare market and patient access issues for the wider company affiliate



In order to make a successful application to Market Access Lead - Rare Diseases, you must demonstrate:

  • Solid experience in UK Market Access for a Pharmaceutical Company or Consulting group

  • Have experience in the UK HTA submissions process, demonstrating taking a lead role in submissions to NICE, SMC, AWMSG or HSE Ireland

  • Previous experience working in the Rare Diseases therapy area

  • A solid understanding of NHS funding processes (tendering etc)

  • The ability to work effectively with Health Economic Data

  • Strong project management, communication and organisational skills
