The Role

Account Executive - Medical Communications Agency - Reading - £Competitive

With one of the best office cultures in the industry, this award-winning agency are expanding their team with an Account Executive. This role is the ideal opportunity for a strong graduate with some experience in medical communications and events.

The Role

The successful Account Executive will be responsible for:

  • Working across meetings, digital, filming and ipad apps, and a mix of therapy areas including oncology, neurology and haematology, on global and national accounts

  • Working closely with the Account Director

  • Seeing projects through to completion ensuring deadlines are met

  • Quickly developing knowledge of new therapy areas when required

  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and healthcare professionals



The successful Account Executive will be able to demonstrate:

  • Science degree and a strong academic record

  • Ideally some work experience within a medical/healthcare communications agency environment

  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills

I work on the Healthcare Communications team.

Which area do you specialise in?

I specialise in attracting and resourcing high calibre candidates for junior level Medical Communications and Medical Education teams.

On the Client Services side I work across: Account Executive jobs, Project Executive jobs, Senior Account Executive jobs and Account Manager positions. 

And on the Editorial side I work on: Editorial Assistant jobs, Medical Editor jobs, Associate Medical Writer jobs, and Medical Writer jobs.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I keep up-to-date using groups on LinkedIn and by keeping in regular contact with people currently working in the industry. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I love films, so there's far too many to choose from! If I had to pick one it would probably be the Harry Potter series. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd invent a machine that made me a coffee as soon as I woke up - that would make getting out of bed much easier!

I like to treat everyone as an individual and feel my psychology degree has helped me gain an insight into different people's perspective and motivations.
