Join a global healthcare communications team as Senior Medical Editor and use your advanced copy-editing and proofreading skills to ensure the production of high-quality medical communication programs and materials for global pharmaceutical clients, patients and HCP's.

The Role

Senior Medical Editor on the global healthcare communications team of this forward thinking and innovative Clinical Research Organisation in Berkshire.

  • Edit and proofread copy to agreed style and specification, checking content, clarity, accuracy, consistency, syntax and grammar. Collaborating with creative designers on design options.

  • Mark up approved copy and draw up page plans for typesetting.

  • Check all proof stages from initial layouts to printers' proofs.

  • Assist in the development of production schedules and with estimating editorial hours for budgeting.

  • Therapy areas include rare diseases, immunology, nephrology and osteoporosis.

  • Apply your Medical Editor expertise to a wide range of materials including exhibitions, stage-sets, congress materials, pitch presentations and digital media.



Experienced in medical editing from a pharma, agency or journal background, you will have a passion for scientific accuracy and editorial excellence.

  • Excellent copy-editing and proofreading skills to QC checking standard.

  • Knowledge of standard copy-editing and proof correction marks, along with scientific copy preparation and styling guidelines.

  • Able to critically review copy, questioning client and author correction and providing constructive feedback to colleagues.

  • Good knowledge of print and production procedures.
