Medical device/healthcare sales and marketing.

Which area do you specialise in? 

All field based sales roles from Territory Manager to Head of Sales/Sales Director level, plus Head Office based marketing positions.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?  

The medical device sector is continually evolving as new technologies and break-through products are brought to market, and this makes it vital to stay completely up to date with the latest goings on.  LinkedIn Groups are a great way to find out what’s happening in the medical device world.  I’m also a great believer in simply having as many conversations as possible with candidates and clients – always a good way to keep a finger on the pulse.

What’s your favourite film and why?  

I’ve seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels so many times I feel I know the script!  And what a script it is...

If you could invent one thing, what would it be?  

Some sort of device or implant that meant that your children were totally compliant in the morning, and therefore got off to school without the usual daily drama of one kind or another!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?  

I once bought a live chicken at an auction (I thought I was buying a CD player!) and had to walk it back to the train station on a lead.  And sit with it on the train!  At work, I like to think that I take a real and genuine interest in how my candidates are feeling during the recruitment process, which can be a fairly stressful time, and help them every step of the way.

The Role

The Product Manager will work within the Marketing and New Product Development team on projects across the portfolio and through projects will centre around the following areas:

  • Marketing planning, strategy and execution

  • Market intelligence and research

  • Product launch planning and implementation

  • Measuring effectiveness

  • Leading and working within cross functional teams

  • Supplier management

  • Budget management

  • You will demonstrate principled leadership and sound business ethics, have a winning attitude, instil a passion for winning and demonstrate a 'can do' approach.

  • Life Science / Marketing related qualification

  • Relevant marketing experience from any industry

  • Excellent Project Management abilities

  • Excellent copy writing and proof reading skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to demonstrate collaborative working on projects

  • Strong relationship builder - key partnerships, external agencies, etc

  • Experience of working across cross functional groups

  • Able to interpret and analyse data

  • Must possess a "can do" attitude
