Which team do you work in? 

Medical device/healthcare sales and marketing.

Which area do you specialise in? 

All field based sales roles from Territory Manager to Head of Sales/Sales Director level, plus Head Office based marketing positions.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?  

The medical device sector is continually evolving as new technologies and break-through products are brought to market, and this makes it vital to stay completely up to date with the latest goings on.  LinkedIn Groups are a great way to find out what’s happening in the medical device world.  I’m also a great believer in simply having as many conversations as possible with candidates and clients – always a good way to keep a finger on the pulse.

What’s your favourite film and why?  

I’ve seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels so many times I feel I know the script!  And what a script it is...

If you could invent one thing, what would it be?  

Some sort of device or implant that meant that your children were totally compliant in the morning, and therefore got off to school without the usual daily drama of one kind or another!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?  

I once bought a live chicken at an auction (I thought I was buying a CD player!) and had to walk it back to the train station on a lead.  And sit with it on the train!  At work, I like to think that I take a real and genuine interest in how my candidates are feeling during the recruitment process, which can be a fairly stressful time, and help them every step of the way.

We are looking for a high achieving, sales professional with a proven track record in medical device sales. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing, stable team.

 

The Role

In this brilliant role you will be responsible for…

  • Achievement of Company sales, profit margins and product targets the area.
    • Demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of the businesses in areas such as the product range, technical specifications, prices, features, benefits, clinical applications and sales strategies.
    • Presentation of products and services to Procurement, Clinicians, Theatre Managers and Nursing Staff.
    • Education of customers (and team members) in the practical features, benefits, handling of product, new technologies and the techniques employed in using the equipment.
    • Formulating territory plans to achieve the targets in both sales and promotional activities.
    • Reviewing the territory's performance with the line manager on a regular basis and write any required monthly reports.
    • Maintaining and continuing to develop the necessary skills and product knowledge by on-going self development in the job function
    • Influencing, developing and negotiating with all financial representatives e.g. directors, procurement and business unit managers and other stakeholders in order to close a sale effectively and within profit margins/ targets

 

You

· You should be a high achieving, sales professional with a proven track record in medical device sales.

· General Surgery & Women's Health backgrounds would be a real advantage

· With a strong ability to influence and be absolutely accountable for your own sales territory, you should possess the drive, determination and resourcefulness to help deliver on strategic business goals.

· You should be flexible and adaptable enough to enjoy challenge and change
