How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I try and keep on top of industry specific news via LinkedIn, newsletters and media in general. I believe you can also gather most of the information that you need from conversations with candidates and clients. 

What is your favourite film and why?

Anchorman - it is one of those films where the more you watch it the funnier it gets. If not then pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in it - he doesn't do bad films!

If you could invent one this what would it be?

A time machine without a doubt! I absolutely hate both myself and other people being late so this would just solve all my issues.

What makes you distinctly different?

I have completed Tough Mudder twice, as well as other endurance events. I feel it is necessary to push yourself both mentally and physically, otherwise you never know what you can do. It hurts all the way around but you cannot beat that feeling the at the finish line! 



The Role

Business Support Administrator, an initial 12month contract, based in Epsom, paying up to £24k


The Company

Internally recognised research agency who are looking for an administrator to join their team. A large portion of their revenue comes from the panel that they have of physicians that are used for their market research projects.

  • A recognised industry name who work on very interesting projects with their clients, some leading names in pharma.

  • My client is based close to a train station, so if you are commuting in to Epsom this could be ideal, you will be also be going against the majority of people trying to get in to London.

  • Highly experienced team working around you who will be able to help and assist with any queries


The Role

The role is multi-faceted and very varied. Your time will be split between panel administration and administration involving fieldwork procurement. You will be assisting both the panel and fieldwork manager.

  • Maintain robust panel structure to ensure number of respondents are met each month and that the database is kept up to date.

  • Liaise with other team members to ensure accurate delivery of panel data.

  • Participate in and support process discussions, to ensure services continues to meet financial and quality targets.

  • Highlighting potential panel issues and helping to come up with a resolution.

  • Helping to manage the relationships with fieldwork vendors.



Although this role is within market research, you don't need previous experience of the sector, having worked with data sets and having a strong administrative background will stand you in good stead. Ideally your best traits will be organisation, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. You will also need to be incredibly passionate, driven, focused and committed. Other great traits will be:

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Be proactive in all that you do and don't dwell on problems

  • Can work well under pressure

  • Confident communicator with excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
