The Role

I am currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Fieldwork Research Executive to join my client, a global market research agency. This role will be ideal for a project manager looking to move into a more research focussed role.


The Company

My client is an international full service market research company. Their focus is on brand and communications within the pharma and healthcare sector. They try to provide inciteful answers to questions which ultimately helps large pharma companies market their drugs in the most appropriate way.

The Role

You will be working as part of the research team, responsible for the active project management of fieldwork related operational activities. It will be a project management centred role with exposure to the research team and involvement in projects from kick off to reporting. It will also include:

  • Client Management- a key part of the role will be developing and maintaining relationships and supporting the client managers in developing repeat business.

  • Feasibility assessments - You will have an input at the pre-proposal brainstorming stage, provide cover for the Fieldwork Procurement Manager in their absence.

  • Fieldwork Cost Control - Manage fieldwork budget and communications with researchers, request purchase orders and invoices with suppliers, oversee all data collection costs for your projects

  • Independently manage all elements of fieldwork - Set expectations with fieldwork agencies, monitor fieldwork progress against agreed project specifications and set clear expectations.



This role requires an individual with an understanding of market research and experience of working in a full service or fieldwork agency. You will be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a wider team. The main function of this is to ensure the smooth delivery of fieldwork projects from kick off to reporting back to the client. You will need to have:

  • Solid fieldwork project management experience

  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills

  • Can work under pressure and thrives on meeting deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • High level of organisational skills

I try and keep on top of industry specific news via LinkedIn, newsletters and media in general. I believe you can also gather most of the information that you need from conversations with candidates and clients. 

What is your favourite film and why?

Anchorman - it is one of those films where the more you watch it the funnier it gets. If not then pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in it - he doesn't do bad films!

If you could invent one this what would it be?

A time machine without a doubt! I absolutely hate both myself and other people being late so this would just solve all my issues.

What makes you distinctly different?

I have completed Tough Mudder twice, as well as other endurance events. I feel it is necessary to push yourself both mentally and physically, otherwise you never know what you can do. It hurts all the way around but you cannot beat that feeling the at the finish line!
