How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

Through constant communication with candidates and clients within the industry. I like to meet with my clients and candidates as often as possible and to get out to as many networking events as I can. I also like to keep track of what is happening in the industry via LinkedIn, PMLive and other pharma news sites. 

What's your favourite film and why?

Gladiator - it's a timeless film with a great cast and fantastic story. They don't make them like that anymore.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I'd love to have a teleport. I love to travel but some places are so far away! I'd love to press a button and be able to spend the weekend on the beach in Fiji.

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I can read and write in Korean! After teaching English over there I have learnt to really understand people and have seen how rewarding it is to help people whatever their circumstances. In my job I really listen to both my clients and candidates needs and try to match them as best as possible.

The Role

Corporate Communications Director - Pharma - Surrey - Fantastic daily rate

We are looking for an experienced EMEA level Communications Director to join a newly formed team to develop and lead the implementation of corporate brand initiatives and drive the focus on reputation management. In addition, the role will also encompass managing the EMEA Crisis and Issues plan and procedures.

Their management structure is relatively flat and this, combined with a very modern culture and environment, allows for a very dynamic flow of expertise, ideas and innovation throughout the business.

The Role

Initially a 6-month contract role which is highly likely to be made perm. Offering the opportunity to join a global pharmaceutical company to develop and lead the strategic communication strategy to enhance the businesses reputation and achieves strategic goals.

  • Develop, lead an implement pipeline and key brand/product communication strategies.

  • Develop and implement corporate media strategies to enhance the company's reputation to the external marketplace.

  • Identify and analyse the needs of the business and its audience to deliver appropriate messages through a range of appropriate media channels.

  • Play a lead role in global brand strategy projects in the development of corporate and external communication strategies and tactics.

  • With support from senior management, lead strategies and tactics around issues management communication.

 

You

A strategic thinker experienced in developing global communication plans on a range of different therapeutic areas. This would be a great role for someone with extensive healthcare PR experience in both an agency and client-side setting.

  • Must have life science / pharma experience

  • Extensive Corporate Communications or PR experience

  • Be able to demonstrate experience of crisis and issues management and planning.

  • Strong network of external media relations

  • Good understanding of ABPI
