The Role

The primary responsibility in this position is to take a leading role in managing studies from inception through to completion. Main responsibilities will be:

  • Design, manage and deliver all aspects of custom qualitative research projects (including the design of all research materials - 1st draft)

  • Oversee all fieldwork

  • Moderation of telephone interviews, face to face and focus groups

  • Liaising with clients - being seen as a consulting partner by being able to bring both market research expertise and broad industry knowledge to client conversations

  • Experience of Qualitative market research within an agency (commercial) environment

  • Experience of Ad-hoc market research

  • Experience dealing with clients within a market research environment

  • A relevant degree (preferably within life sciences)

  • The ability to deliver insightful conclusions and recommendations based on research data

I keep up to date with issues in my sector by staying well networked. Our team holds yearly networking events which gives us all a chance to meet with candidate and clients. I also read industry articles and stay well networked on LinkedIn. I think it really helps that I have good relationships with the clients and candidates I work with!

What's your favourite film and why?
My favourite film has to be all the Matrix films! I love all the martial arts scenes and special effects. I've recently watched the Kill Bill films too, so they're also up there with my favourites!

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
I'd invent a machine that makes me unlimited money.

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?
What makes me distinctly different is that I make sure I understand the motivations of people moving jobs. Understanding motivations can sometimes open up opportunities people hadn't previously thought of.
