The Role

Key Account Manager - Small Pharma - Kent/Surrey/Sussex - £competitive - Pharmaceutical Sales

 

The Company

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a company that believes in a truly autonomous Key Account Management approach, valuing outcomes, strategic working and strong account plans over implementing a call rate. They have a highly regarded portfolio of existing products and a small, close knit team where everyone feels valued and plays their part in the company's success.

 

The Role

  • Within this role as a Key Account Manager you will be responsible for leading your territory and take control of all work that needs to be done to drive sales for your area.
  • You will go out and hold the clinical conversations with the people you believe will best benefit the company across primary care, secondary care and at medicine management level.
  • You will be required to prioritise your accounts effectively to secure formulary inclusions and maximise impact of your brand across your territory.
  • You will develop relationships with key customers, predominantly in urology, endocrinology and diabetes.

 

You

  • For this role, it is expected that you will be an experienced Key Account Manager with a stable background in Pharma Sales.
  • You will ideally have worked across both primary and secondary care, with a focus on primary care and proven formulary success.
  • You will ideally have experience within the endocrinology or urology therapy areas - although this is flexible for the right candidate.
  • You must be ABPI qualified and be based on patch in Kent, Surrey or Sussex.
  • You will be motivated and have a good level of strategic planning experience to focus on key accounts where you can find the most success.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I keep up-to-date by reading articles posted online and staying in touch with relevant news. 

What's your favourite film and why?

My favourite film...I'm going to have to say Se7en. I know how dark that film is but I think it's brilliantly written with unexpected twists and turns throughout. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I would have to take a page out of Elon Musk's book and would invent a way for people to be transported around, similar to the way they do in the show Futurama. I just think it would make things ten times easier and quicker.
