What's your favourite film and why?

Tim Burton's Big Fish has to be my go-to film of choice. An over the top, fantastical and emotional story of epic proportions full of weird and quirky touches...escapism at it's finest!

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

If I could invent one thing it would be to make the Replicator from Star Trek a reality - I love food but hate cooking after a busy day in the office so this would be ideal! 

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

Having studied art I like to think I look at things with a creative twist and have the ability to look beyond the obvious. This is helpful when it comes to guiding and advising candidates and clients to overcome potential problems and arrive at the best conclusion for all.

My client are an international Clinical Trials Organisation offering a specialist range of services to the pharmaceautical and clinical research industries. They specialise in the running and management handling all stages of a clinical trials on behalf of some of the world's most renowned pharmaceutical and clinical research organsations. They are seeking an experienced Research Physician to join their site in Cardiff as a Principal Research Physician. The Role

My client are seeking a Prinicipal Research Physician to oversee the site and current program of research studies whilst monitoring overall performance from a commercial perspecitve. Acting as the main point of contact for their site in Wales. You will gain exposure to a variety of clinical trials, ensuring care of study participants whilst carrying out a range of clinical activities. As the Prinicipal Research Physician you will be responsible for balancing managerial activities alongside medical duties as the Lead Investigator on a range of studies. overseeing a hardworking team and the clinical standards of all research studies on site:

  • Ensuring that trials are being conducted to the highest standards within a clear framework of protocols
  • Conducting clinical trials in line with strict protocols and procedures
  • Overseeing Nursing team to provide development and identify training where needed
  • Liaising with contacts at all levels providing updates and building relatioships
  • Taking responsibility for all patients partipating in trials and dealing with any adverse events

 

You

To be successful in this opportunity for the Principal Research Physician you should be:

  • A qualified Doctor with demonstrable experience within Clinical Research

  • Conversant with all relevant and up to date protocols and guidelines
  • Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Have working knowledge of GCP (ICH-GCP and local regulations compliance)
  • Be actively involved in promoting standards in the workplace to ensure patient welfare at all times
