Medical device/healthcare sales and marketing.

Which area do you specialise in? 

All field based sales roles from Territory Manager to Head of Sales/Sales Director level, plus Head Office based marketing positions.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?  

The medical device sector is continually evolving as new technologies and break-through products are brought to market, and this makes it vital to stay completely up to date with the latest goings on.  LinkedIn Groups are a great way to find out what’s happening in the medical device world.  I’m also a great believer in simply having as many conversations as possible with candidates and clients – always a good way to keep a finger on the pulse.

What’s your favourite film and why?  

I’ve seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels so many times I feel I know the script!  And what a script it is...

If you could invent one thing, what would it be?  

Some sort of device or implant that meant that your children were totally compliant in the morning, and therefore got off to school without the usual daily drama of one kind or another!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?  

I once bought a live chicken at an auction (I thought I was buying a CD player!) and had to walk it back to the train station on a lead.  And sit with it on the train!  At work, I like to think that I take a real and genuine interest in how my candidates are feeling during the recruitment process, which can be a fairly stressful time, and help them every step of the way.

Healthcare Sales - Territory Manager (Orthopaedics) - Oxon/Berkshire/Hampshire/Dorset - £38k +£20k bonus.

The Company

There are so many good things going on at this company at present; these are genuinely exciting times for anyone joining the Orthopaedic Trauma Business Unit. These include:

  • New Head Office and the largest number of cadaver labs constructed in the country - superb facilities to be used by Key Opinion Leader Surgeons.
  • The hosting of global conferences allowing the cementing of partnership relationships with influential customers.
  • Implementation of a team of Field Technical Support Managers who will cover cases providing technical support to the customer and allow the Product Specialist/Key Account Manager to concentrate on where their efforts will be best rewarded.
  • Launch of new products that have received NICE approval for use which opens up a potentially huge market - the potential for exponential sales (and bonus) is very strong.

The Role

The Territory Manager (Orthopaedic Trauma) will be responsible for growing sales of the company's market leading orthopaedic trauma portfolio. Using a clinically-based approach to sales and KOL development skills to add gravitas to the sales process.Selling to Surgeons in theatre, educating to the potential of a new product range.

  • Products: Orthopaedic Trauma.
  • Territory: Oxon, Berkshire, Hampshire, Dorset.
  • Sales Environment: Hospitals - Theatre.
  • Customers: Orthopaedic Surgeons and associated Theatre staff, Procurement.

You

  • Attitude is EVERYTHING - must be focused and 100% determined to earn considerable bonus.
  • Life science or Sports Science graduate with 6-18 months' medical device sales experience, ideally gained within the Theatre environment.
