Commercial Manager - Medium sized global Pharma company - National - £competitive

The Company

We are currently working with a medium sized Global Pharmaceutical company with a fantastic current product portfolio and a strong pipeline. Currently looking for a creative and results driven Commercial Manager with passion and ambition to drive their career forward.

The Role

Within this Commercial Manager role, you will be tasked with covering a broad range of Commercial responsibilities with NHS & Private customers including:

  • Responsibility and accountability for the preparation of effective project plans to deliver contracts for products identified within the portfolio in targeted non-user trusts in England, Scotland & Wales
  • Utilise fully, data sources, to effectively prepare profitable and competitive tender submissions in line with national pricing strategy for submission to CMU's
  • Within the national regional and local procurement organisations develop business contacts and relationships with relevant personnel e.g. procurement pharmacists, procurement personnel and CCGs in the UK healthcare system
  • Deliver, profitable contracts/tenders in existing user trust and identified targeted non-user trusts in line with national pricing strategy with a focus on delivering profitable treatment business


For this Commercial Manager role, you will need:

  • A demonstrable track record of success with senior customers across England, Scotland & Wales including but not limited to CMU pharmacists, Chief pharmacists, Medicines Management
  • Experience in preparing NHS commercial tenders / contracts
  • Experience selling to the private sector would be an advantage
  • To be able to demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and utilising this knowledge to secure business
  • To be flexible to travel across the UK to engage with customers
  • You MUST have the ABPI.
