A chocolate-making machine that would be a normal household object to be used daily, like a toaster.

The Role

Medical Director - Promotional Medical Communications - UK / Europe (home based) - £110K

A rare and exciting opportunity for you to be the European Medical Director for the promotional medical communications division of this long-established global network. This is a home based role with considerable travel to pharma clients in Europe.

 

The Company

With a successful 40-year history, this company provide on-demand medical education programs for HCP's:

  • Current team all US based so want a Medical Director in Europe as part of their strategy to grow in this market.

  • Work with pharma clients in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, France and the UK.

  • Work with 100's of brands across a wide variety of therapy area offering great exposure.

  • Project based work developing audio, video and text based drug and disease focused programmes.

 

The Role

Medical Director with energy and passion to work with European pharmaceutical clients and develop their promotional medical education activities aimed towards HCP's in Europe.

  • Work with the sales team to provide insights on the issues facing the Brand and recommending topics for potentials activities.

  • Attend kick off meetings with pharmaceutical clients in Europe.

  • Outline the scientific content based on client messaging for the drug and diseases focused programmes.

  • Support Medical Writers in the development of content and review the script with your dedicated KOL incorporating their suggestions.

  • Guide script through the medical / legal / regulatory (M/L/R) process

  • Attend KOL filming ensuring script is followed and assisting with on location requests for changes.

 

You

European Promotional Medical Communications experience and a proficiency in the design of medical education content.

  • Understand promotional medical communications, their processes and systems in the EU

  • Familiarity with the M/L/R process

  • Able to outline scientific content for programmes based on client messaging and incorporating KOL suggestions.

  • Direct a team of medical writers based in the US.

  • Able to work and communication effectively as part of a global team

  • Strong working knowledge of Powerpoint and Word

  • Any European language skills are an advantage

  • Medical degree or advanced degree in Biomedical Science, PhD is a plus
