I work in the Drug Development team.

Which area do you specialise in?

I specialise in Clinical Operations and Quality Assurance.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I keep up-to-date by reading articles posted online and staying in touch with relevant news. 

What's your favourite film and why?

My favourite film...I'm going to have to say Se7en. I know how dark that film is but I think it's brilliantly written with unexpected twists and turns throughout. 

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

I would have to take a page out of Elon Musk's book and would invent a way for people to be transported around, similar to the way they do in the show Futurama. I just think it would make things ten times easier and quicker.

Senior / Principal SAS Programmer - £Competitive - Homebased

A great opportunity to work in a large team of SAS Professionals in a top 10 CRO market. The role will involve Phase I - IV trials.

The Role

  • A role in an established team

  • Providing advanced technical expertise in conjunction with internal and external clients

  • Acting as statistical programmer for single complex studies or groups of studies (Depending on level)

  • Performing the programming, testing and documentation of statistical programs

  • Creation of statistical tables, figures, and listing

  • Programming of derived datasets and transfer files

 

You

  • Experienced SAS Programmer with 1-3 years' clinical experience

  • Expert knowledge of statistical computing applications SAS 8.2 or SAS 9.1 in Base SAS, SAS/STAT and SAS Macro Language

  • 3 - 5 years' CRO or Pharmaceutical experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or related field

  • Proficient in the use of CDISC, SDTM and ADaM with both paper and electronic CTD submission

  • Good written and spoken English
