All field based sales roles, including field based Market Access, Training and Management positions, as well as Marketing roles. 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

It is essential we keep up to date with industry news. Whether that relates to any big changes within the NHS that affects the Pharma industry, or what products are coming off patent / new product launches. This can be done by reading trade journals, attending exhibitions, but more often than not is done by speaking with candidates and clients on a regular basis.

What's your favourite film and why?
I can honestly say I don't remember the last time I watched a film through in its entirety.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
The things I would love to invent is mobile phones that NEVER cut off/lose signal, regardless of location, going into a tunnel or some other completely random event. One of the most frustrating things when speaking to people is when the line just dies for no apparent reason (or they just got bored and hung up on me)!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?
Last year I trained myself to be able to hold my breath for four minutes.

The Company

Our client is a global healthcare company, specialising in innovative surgical care. Due to continued success, they are looking for a Commercial Manager (Surgical Care). This newly created role is a really exciting opportunity to work for an established brand, as a subject matter expert in UK healthcare policy and strategy.

The Commercial Manager (Surgical Care) is pivotal in ensuring effective communication between internal departments and external stakeholders and will be responsible for early commercial access assessments, evaluation and portfolio implementation in key strategic accounts in UK and Ireland. As this is a new role, it offers excellent prospects for future progression and growth.

 

The Role

  • Designing and implementing the value based tendering approach of service redesign, maximising the efficiency of the operating room in both NHS and private sectors to enable a higher patient volume and quality of care.

  • Local business development lead of approved Managed Service proposals

  • Lead point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

  • Leading the transformation and optimisation of a customer service based on pre-defined service output KPIs

  • Building an NHS managed service stakeholder network for territory

  • Building a territory business plan for launch and engagement with key customers

 

You

  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in business development

  • Experience of budget impact models and demonstrating value concepts

  • Project management / NHS transformation experience is highly desirable

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to lead others and to work cross-functionally
