Which team do you work in? 

Medical device/healthcare sales and marketing.

Which area do you specialise in? 

All field based sales roles from Territory Manager to Head of Sales/Sales Director level, plus Head Office based marketing positions.

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?  

The medical device sector is continually evolving as new technologies and break-through products are brought to market, and this makes it vital to stay completely up to date with the latest goings on.  LinkedIn Groups are a great way to find out what’s happening in the medical device world.  I’m also a great believer in simply having as many conversations as possible with candidates and clients – always a good way to keep a finger on the pulse.

What’s your favourite film and why?  

I’ve seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels so many times I feel I know the script!  And what a script it is...

If you could invent one thing, what would it be?  

Some sort of device or implant that meant that your children were totally compliant in the morning, and therefore got off to school without the usual daily drama of one kind or another!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?  

I once bought a live chicken at an auction (I thought I was buying a CD player!) and had to walk it back to the train station on a lead.  And sit with it on the train!  At work, I like to think that I take a real and genuine interest in how my candidates are feeling during the recruitment process, which can be a fairly stressful time, and help them every step of the way.

National Sales Manager (Critical Care), £65k + £15k, UK

Company has experienced considerable growth over recent years through a programme of acquisition, but is now consolidating and growing organically.

The Role

A vital role in the development and implementation of strategies aimed at maximizing and exploiting sales opportunities for the company's Critical Care product portfolio.

  • Sales forecasting and reporting directly into the General Manager.

  • Full P&L responsibility for the Business Unit.

  • Managing, motivating and developing a team of Territory Managers and a Product Manager.

  • Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.

  • Strategic direction for all sales activities.



You will be an experienced Sales Manager, used to shouldering the responsibility of P&L and able to motivate a sales team to over perform.

  • Experience of working in the Critical Care environment an advantage.

  • Proven ability to produce and execute effective budgets and sales forecasting.

  • Extensive insight into to the NHS procurement and tender process.
