All field based sales roles, including field based Market Access, Training and Management positions, as well as Marketing roles. 

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

It is essential we keep up to date with industry news. Whether that relates to any big changes within the NHS that affects the Pharma industry, or what products are coming off patent / new product launches. This can be done by reading trade journals, attending exhibitions, but more often than not is done by speaking with candidates and clients on a regular basis.

What's your favourite film and why?
I can honestly say I don't remember the last time I watched a film through in its entirety.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
The things I would love to invent is mobile phones that NEVER cut off/lose signal, regardless of location, going into a tunnel or some other completely random event. One of the most frustrating things when speaking to people is when the line just dies for no apparent reason (or they just got bored and hung up on me)!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?
Last year I trained myself to be able to hold my breath for four minutes. 


The Role

The Company

We are currently recruiting for a global pharma company that has a wide range of products across general medicine and speciality care. Many of their products are a global blockbuster and have set the standard for others to follow. They continue to be innovative and have an exciting pipeline in a number of therapy areas and due to a recent restructure, have created 3 (!!!) National Policy Programme Manager positions to work alongside their established Market Access, External Affairs and Commercial teams.


The Role

  • You will work cross functionally with External Affairs and Market Access to develop and implement the political strategy for the company.
  • You will identify and develop strategic relationships with senior stakeholders in order to initiate projects that benefit your product portfolio and position the company favourably.
  • You will continue to monitor, analyse, and adapt in accordance with the political, policy and NHS environment. You will keep the internal cross functional team up to date with any political or policy changes that could impact positivity or otherwise on the company.
  • Alongside the External Affairs team, you will collaborate and lead activities with devolved National Assembles, Governments and National organisations such as patient groups and think tanks.
  • You will also lead on activities with Westminster MP's, UK Government, Dept of Health and other such organisations.



  • You will have experience working within the NHS and understand what internal and external factors influence prescribing and brand awareness.
  • You will have excellent relationship building skills and be able to demonstrate working cross functionally and collaborating on projects that have a clear Return on Investment.
  • You will be a confident individual that can think on their feet and have excellent in-depth knowledge of the NHS and the political landscape.
  • A natural leader with gravitas, you will be able to demonstrate excellent influencing skills and be able to project manage when under pressure.
  • Our client will look at someone from a Pharma, Healthcare or NHS background but you MUST have UK experience.
