How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

It is essential we keep up to date with industry news. Whether that relates to any big changes within the NHS that affects the Pharma industry, or what products are coming off patent / new product launches. This can be done by reading trade journals, attending exhibitions, but more often than not is done by speaking with candidates and clients on a regular basis.

What's your favourite film and why?
I can honestly say I don't remember the last time I watched a film through in its entirety.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?
The things I would love to invent is mobile phones that NEVER cut off/lose signal, regardless of location, going into a tunnel or some other completely random event. One of the most frustrating things when speaking to people is when the line just dies for no apparent reason (or they just got bored and hung up on me)!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?
Last year I trained myself to be able to hold my breath for four minutes.

The Role

Performance Director (Training) - National Role - Dynamic Culture - Excellent Financial Package

Our client is a performance and training consultancy with various arms to their business with a very strong heritage in the pharma industry. This particular arm of the business works mainly with UK domestic pharma in developing and delivering a wide range of training and coaching solutions, both short and long term with a diverse spectrum of pharma and biotech professionals.

The Job

The Performance Director role has a focus on working with UK domestic pharma and biotech clients, developing and delivering a range of training and coaching solutions for a broad spectrum of pharma professionals, from sales or marketing effectiveness to management, leadership and executive coaching. Main components of the remit are:

  • Develop & win new business with UK domestic pharma & biotech addressing their training needs across the business

  • Delivery of internal training programmes will also be required on occasion

  • Design & develop a range of training solutions in conjunction with managers in the client company

  • Deliver effective training & coaching solutions which meet client business needs

  • Project management of all your training projects

 

You

The role will suit a commercially astute individual with good pharma industry experience and a training/coaching background.

  • Strong training/coaching experience, ideally with an accreditation

  • Good commercial acumen with background in pharma industry, perhaps sales and/or marketing

  • Credible, dynamic, good on your feet with strong teaching/facilitation skills

  • Strong influencing skills, good at developing relationships and strong in business development

  • Strong project management skills, good communicator, attention to detail

  • Driving licence required as frequent travel to client offices throughout the UK to develop & deliver training
