How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

The best way is to constantly communicate with my candidates, new and old. If something is happening within the industry, candidates are usually the first people to know and voice their opinion.

What's your favourite film and why?

Probably Leon. 12-year-old Natalie Portman learns how to become an assassin from Jean Reno, who has a strange relationship with a potted plant and tries to kill the drug fuelled Gary Oldman. Brilliantly over-the-top.

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

Lightsabers – need I say more?

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

I formed a record label with a few friends at 18, which expanded massively, and went on to host stages at a couple of national festivals. I realise how valuable it was at the time, but networking with key industry figures and musicians was crucial. Our artists quickly grabbed attention and are currently on tour across Europe. As a huge music aficionado, it’s fantastic knowing we’ve pushed them to that level. Looking back, it’s the same in any industry – networking, knowing your industry leaders, and attending national and international events is key.

Account Supervisor, Oncology - Healthcare Advertising Agency - New York - $80k-$90k

This fast-paced healthcare advertising agency is looking for an Account Supervisor, with experience in oncology, to join their expanding Manhattan office. They work with a strong, and constantly growing, portfolio of clients and manage advertising campaigns on both a regional and global level.

The Role

As an Account Supervisor, you will be an integral part of the account handling team with a real responsibility for being the driving force behind the successful completion of briefs in order to meet client expectations. As an Account Supervisor, some of your responsibilities may include:

  • Designing, developing and delivering customer insight work, translating outputs into strategic plans

  • Developing brand strategy and brand plans

  • Project Management - ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget, and are of the highest quality

  • Investigating and assessing multichannel marketing performance

  • Briefing junior team members and helping to manage their outputs



This Account Supervisor role is an opportunity to join a vibrant, growing agency, where you will be able to make an instant impact. As an experienced Account Supervisor you will have:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5-7 years' account management experience from an agency environment, preferably healthcare

  • Exposure to a range of different projects and tactics

  • Experience mentoring or overseeing junior team members

  • Digital and print experience, CRM is a plus
