The Role

Senior/Medical Advisor - Final Signatory - West London - Small Pharma - GMC Physician or Pharmacist - £Competitive Salary and Benefits

A fantastic opportunity to join a small team with a family-oriented feel with the additional benefit of having support of a larger organisation. The company are looking at applications from candidates either with or without Medical Affairs experience but you must have final signatory training and have worked within the pharmaceutical industry. If moving into the Senior Medical Advisor role you will deputise for the Medical Director.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to be a therapeutic expert within the pharmaceutical industry being able to identify and address the relevant medical needs of clinical practice, to successfully support the company products specifically within Rheumatology.

  • Develop expert knowledge and understanding of the marketed and pipeline products
  • Lead in the strategic development of medical plans
  • Project Management of non-promotional tactics, including but not limited to: medical education meetings, medical advisory boards, TAE expert meetings, non-promotional material creation and risk management plan materials
  • Act as Medical reviewer on the internal copy approval system or all promotional and non-promotional material, in accordance with the ABPI and IPHA code of practise
  • As a Senior Medical Advisor you would hold a greater strategic and business unit perspective, provide mentorship for medical advisors and deputise for the Medical Director as required

 

You

You will enjoy working independently but also engage with team working processes. You will be able to work in an agile and responsive environment where things can move quickly.

  • Final Signatory qualified at least 1 year
  • For senior role will have Medical Affairs experience, for less senior role you will ideally have experience as a final signatory within Medical Information
  • Ideally you will have previous NHS experience
  • You will be either a Pharmacist or GMC registered physician

How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I try to keep up to speed with industry news sites and blogs but really the majority of helpful and interesting information comes through the conversations I have with my candidates and clients. 

What's your favourite film and why?

I wasn't sure whether to admit this as it's really not very "cool" but...Four Weddings and Funeral is my absolute favourite, always makes me smile!!

If you could invent one thing what would it be?

The ability to disapparate like Harry Potter from one place to another with the click of a finger. It would make seeing friends and family (and candidates and clients) who live all over the country so much easier, particularly now I have two little people to transport too!

What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?

On a professional level - 12 years within recruitment specifically working within the pharmaceutical industry gives me the knowledge and overarching understanding of Clinical Research to really understand my clients and candidates' needs, regardless of functional area they sit within.

On a personal level - I have done a skydive in NZ, ridden an elephant in Laos, Scuba Dived in Vietnam, swam with sharks in Thailand (small ones!) and sailed a tall ship around the Caribbean (by sailed I mean I sat drinking cocktails while the crew sailed it).
