Business Development & In-licensing Manager (BD&L) - Small Niche Pharma - West Yorkshire (office based + international travel) - £Competitive Package

 

The Company

We are recruiting for a UK based pharma company that specialises in innovative medicine manufacture and distribution. They have a large portfolio of specialist products across a broad range of therapy areas. The company values quality and innovation with an open and honest culture where you can be part of a strong team to help drive business growth and sales together.

 

The Role

  • In this role as a Business Development & In-licensing Manager (BD&L), you will:
  • Be responsible for in-licencing new products for the UK portfolio in certain niche therapy areas.
  • Drive deals through from initial relationship stages right through to completions, fully managing the new product into the business and involving all relevant internal stakeholders as necessary.
  • Attend conferences and industry relevant events to build up your network across the globe.
  • Join a relatively new and highly successful team, who are recruiting due to the high level of ongoing potential business conversations.
  • Be based at head office in West Yorkshire, travelling around the UK, to Europe and potentially the rest of the world as required. Travel is likely to be around 20% of your time.

 

You

  • You will already be a Business Development Manager in a pharma company, on an upward curve in your career. You will have likely been promoted from a Business Development Executive position to a Business Development Manager and you must have some experience at this level of role.
  • You must have experience bringing a deal right through to fruition, including managing all internal stakeholders. Therefore, you will have experience in ensuring all appropriate governance procedures are completed correctly, including legal contracts, stage gate submissions, quality control audits, regulatory licences and financial stability evaluations.
  • You must be based within commutable distance of the office in West Yorkshire or be prepared to relocate.
  • You will be resilient, enthusiastic and target orientated, keen to make an impact quickly in a BD role.
