How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?

I try and keep on top of industry specific news via LinkedIn, newsletters and media in general. I believe you can also gather most of the information that you need from conversations with candidates and clients. 

What is your favourite film and why?

Anchorman - it is one of those films where the more you watch it the funnier it gets. If not then pretty much anything with Denzel Washington in it - he doesn't do bad films!

If you could invent one this what would it be?

A time machine without a doubt! I absolutely hate both myself and other people being late so this would just solve all my issues.

What makes you distinctly different?

I have completed Tough Mudder twice, as well as other endurance events. I feel it is necessary to push yourself both mentally and physically, otherwise you never know what you can do. It hurts all the way around but you cannot beat that feeling the at the finish line! 



The Role

Business Development Manager for a leading healthcare software sales company based in Yorkshire.


The Company

You will be working for a leading healthcare software company who are part of wider group that has access to healthcare professionals across the globe.

  • They provide a tangible cost and time saving solution for their clients.

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for account managing a number of key clients and looking for suitable opportunities to maximise upsell opportunities. As well as this you will be responsible for:

  • Successful completion of the sales cycle from lead generation to closing

  • Presenting and demonstrating software capabilities to clients

  • Building strong working relationships with clients to ensure that all upsell opportunities are maximised.

  • Developing a continually growing pipeline of potential customers

  • Providing an outstanding and memorable service for clients before, during and after the sale.



To be successful in this role you will ideally be a real self-starter, you will also have the ability to learn about complex software and be able to confidently present this to clients.

  • Dynamic and proactive individual who has experience of selling software

  • Ideally an experience of selling into healthcare/NHS

  • Proven track record of closing sales and having success in a targeted role

  • Effective communicator who is comfortable speaking at negotiating with clients of varying levels.

  • Experience of account management as well as generating new business.

  • Basic Knowledge of software development and implementation process.
