The Role

Manager (Medicinal Toxicology) - Global Consumer Healthcare Company - Yorkshire with some remote working - £negotiable

The Manager (Medicinal Toxicology) sits within the Global Safety Assurance team and will have direct management responsible of a team of 2 Toxicologists. This is a hands-on role, and you will be responsible for providing input and guidance into toxicological and risk assessment matters focusing on medicinal products within the Pain category.

The Role

The Manager (Medicinal Toxicology) will be responsible for;

  • Partner with various teams across the business (Regulatory, R&D, Medical) in ensuring the toxicological risk assessments are carried out to the highest standards for products within their Pain category
  • Manage a small team of toxicologists, providing support whilst remaining hands-on
  • Provide input and advice to the wider business on all safety, toxicology and risk assessments for the products in the Pain category



To apply for this role as a Manager (Medicinal Toxicology) our client is hoping for someone with the following skills and experience;

  • Proven track record in managing toxicology or safety teams ideally within a pharma or consumer health company
  • Chemicals / biocides or Consultancy backgrounds will also be considered
  • Good understanding of non-clinical drug development requirements
  • Hands on experience of product safety risk assessments
  • Ideally degree educated (or higher) in toxicology
  • Excellent working knowledge of regulatory toxicology
  • Good understanding of medicines regulations
