How do you keep up-to-date with the issues in your sector?
The medical device sector is continually evolving as new technologies and break-through products are brought to market, and this makes it vital to stay completely up to date with the latest goings on. LinkedIn Groups are a great way to find out what’s happening in the medical device world. I’m also a great believer in simply having as many conversations as possible with candidates and clients – always a good way to keep a finger on the pulse.
What’s your favourite film and why?
I’ve seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels so many times I feel I know the script! And what a script it is...
If you could invent one thing, what would it be?
Some sort of device or implant that meant that your children were totally compliant in the morning, and therefore got off to school without the usual daily drama of one kind or another!
What makes you #DistinctlyDifferent?
I once bought a live chicken at an auction (I thought I was buying a CD player!) and had to walk it back to the train station on a lead. And sit with it on the train! At work, I like to think that I take a real and genuine interest in how my candidates are feeling during the recruitment process, which can be a fairly stressful time, and help them every step of the way.
