“Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”
– Albert Schweitzer
The happiness of everyone we work with is of paramount importance to us. We pride ourselves on being distinctly different to other recruitment companies, in that our main objective is to place happy people into jobs they’ll love! We believe by achieving this happy work balance, commercial success will then naturally follow.
First and foremost, this mindset would not be possible without the incredible employees we have here at Carrot Pharma. We start by employing consultants with an optimistic outlook on life, which leads to a positive and vibrant working environment. This is vital to how we provide our services - we believe the positivity and enthusiasm our consultants have for their jobs is contagious and it leads to fantastic interactions with our clients and candidates.
This level of enthusiasm to work – and work well – is maintained by ensuring our employees know they are truly valued and regarded within the business. Our consultants are given autonomy and flexibility within their roles, which helps to build trust across the company. On top of this, we’re always keen to reward and celebrate our employees; from regular afternoons off to monthly office treats, we love giving our employees the appreciate they deserve.
We also strongly believe in a realistic work-life balance – which is why you’ll rarely find anyone in the office after 5.30pm and our consultants aren’t bogged down with meaningless volume-based targets. Instead, the emphasis is placed on having quality and meaningful interactions with our customers.
We recently asked our team what they love about working at Carrot Pharma:
“Knowing that hard work and endeavour is recognised and rewarded is great. Being given the autonomy to problem solve rather than being continually told what to do creates a vibrant and innovative environment within the office, without the fear of having to hit ridiculous and inflexible KPI’s.”
To make sure the happiness of our clients and candidates is maximised we never view anyone we work with as transactional. This ultimately means we don’t concentrate on making money off the people we work with, but rather to improve their working lives. Through taking this approach we find that people thoroughly enjoy working with our consultants, often commenting on how we stand out against other recruitment agencies.
This approach is crucial when we come to placing candidates into a new role - we never just match role requirements with someone’s skillset. Instead, our consultants take the time to look at the finer details of a new role, like a company’s culture and their current employees. We get to know each of our candidates in-depth to ensure we can find a job that not only suits their skills but suits their personality and goals. This has led to so many of our candidates falling in love with their jobs which we hope has lead to a happier and more fulfilled life.
But don’t just take our word for our happy approach to recruitment - see what some of our candidates have said:
“Jon put in a lot of effort that he didn't have to. He worked hard and kept in communication with the organisation. I'm very grateful for the effort and time he put in to make sure this was a good fit for myself and the organisation.”

“I have been in my current role for nearly 9 years, but I decided it was time to move on. I have spoken to so many recruitment agencies but there is something different with Hayley. She knows the role and the company that she is working with and she honestly goes the extra mile. I have a new friend for life. Thanks for everything, you are awesome at what you do!!!”
